A Dash of Me

Cooking Has Always Been Part of Me

Cooking has always been my thing, even before I knew it. As a kid, I wasn’t just watching my mum and Lola cook— I was absorbing, tasting, and dreaming up dishes from the pages of Women’s Weekly. But like most of us, life took me on a different path first. I built a career as a hairdresser, running my own businesses, connecting with people, and turning creativity into something tangible. I loved it, but food was always in the background, waiting for me to come back.

Rediscovering My Filipino Roots

Now, I’m here, fully embracing what I love most—cooking. My Filipino heritage plays a huge role in that. Growing up in Australia, I spent a lot of time eating and cooking Western food, but as I got older, I found myself craving the flavours of home—the rich, soulful dishes that felt like a hug from my childhood. Filipino food deserves to be celebrated, understood, and embraced, and I want to be part of that movement.

A Space for Creativity and Connection

But Gregson Cooks isn’t just about tradition—it’s about expression. I love making food that’s approachable, fun, and full of flavour, but I also love the challenge of creating something intricate, pushing myself beyond the everyday. Some recipes are made to be shared, others are just experiments to keep the creative spark alive. Either way, food is how I tell stories, how I connect, and how I make sense of the world.

No Rules, Just a Love for Food

There’s no set plan, no rigid rules—just a love for cooking and sharing. So, whether you’re here to try a new recipe, explore something unexpected, or just enjoy the ride, I’m glad you’re here. Let’s make something delicious together.
